A TRIBUTE TO TIRAMISU
A romantic story
The real origins of Tiramisu have given rise to a number of different stories, the most romantic being linked to Venice.
In the eighteenth century, the dessert allegedly became popular among the city’s courtiers and nobility, who took delight in its exquisite combination of flavours: mascarpone cream, sponge fingers soaked in coffee and cocoa powder.
Thanks to its well-known “energising” properties (‘Tiramisu literally means ‘Pick me Up’), people began to eat generous portions of the dessert before every romantic encounter. In its long tradition of patisserie art, La Donatella has maintained the original recipe for this soft, creamy dessert, just perfect to round off your menu.
